Chapter 2

After breakfast the next morning, they took Sam on their first sightseeing tour. They hit the shopping malls downtown and took a stroll across the university district, a vast campus with a mix of ancient and modern buildings, and stopped at a food stand for tacos.

“How did you like the university?” Janie asked, sitting down on a bench in the shade. “Do you still want to study here?”

“Yeah. But I need a student loan, and I want to work part-time. If you have an open position at your spa, I could clean or hand out towels, or something.”

Janie gave Stella a knowing look. “It’s… uh… it’s a special kind of spa. Probably not what you’d expect.”

“Can I see it?”

“Janie wanted to drop in to finish some paperwork anyway,” Stella said, grinning. “I’m sure she’ll let you tag along.”

“Good, good.” Sam took a big bite of her taco, almost spilling sauce on her T-shirt. “Hey, where’s the best place to pick up a guy?”

Janie’s head whipped around. “A guy? What do you need a guy for?”

“I… uh… I want to lose my virginity before I go back home.”

Stella laughed out loud and Janie nearly spat out her water. “Excuse me?”

“Back home, it’s slim pickings,” Sam said, twisting her napkin. “Not a lot of guys my age, and there’s so much gossip! Everyone knows everyone.”

“Are you sure that’s how you want to do it?” Janie asked. “Why not wait until you’ve found someone special and have… that experience with him?”

“That’s exactly the point, Auntie. When I meet someone I like, I don’t wanna be clueless, and I don’t want to be the only virgin when I start college.” Sam wiped her mouth with the napkin. “I’m on the pill, but I guess I need some condoms. Or does the guy bring condoms?”

“Great question.” Janie rubbed her temples. “I actually have no idea how straight people do it.”

“I wanted to buy some, but I chickened out. It was too embarrassing.”

“It’s good to be prepared,” Stella said. “I’ll get some for you on the way back, okay? A girl needs to protect herself. Right, Janie?”

Janie swallowed. “Right.”

“Speaking of protection,” Sam said, staring at her lap. “I’d feel a lot safer if I could take them to the guest room and… uh… do it there.”

“Them?! Plural?” Stella chuckled, raising an eyebrow. “Sounds like you have big plans.”

“One at a time, obviously. But I only have two weeks; I can’t dawdle.” She gnawed on her lower lip. “Jeez, and I need to buy some sexy underwear. I’ve got nothing!”

“I could be wrong, but I don’t think men care much about your underwear. They just want you to take it off. But we’re pretty much the same size; you can have some of mine.”

“Thanks, I really appreciate it. And… how do I meet someone around here? I don’t want my picture online in some stupid app.”

“Just sit at the bar and smile,” Stella said drily. “With a cutie like you, it won’t take long.”

Janie buried her face in her hands. “Oh God. My sister’s gonna kill me.”

The Serenity Suites, Janie and Stella’s business, were located in an office tower downtown, just a block from a subway station and the city’s largest shopping mall. It shared the building with doctors’ offices, a large gym, another spa, and countless other businesses, including two restaurants and a rooftop bar.

“That looks really posh,” Sam whispered, her steps echoing as she followed Janie through the elegant lobby. “Your customers must be loaded.”

Janie hit the elevator call button. “For a spa, we’re not that expensive, actually. We have clients from all walks of life. I strongly believe that everyone should be able to enjoy our services.”

“The location makes sense. It’s right next to the mall, so people can come here after shopping to get a massage.”

“Massages are not what our customers are after. They do get to relax, though.”

Upstairs on the seventeenth floor, “The Serenity Suites” was printed in a playful script on the full-height frosted glass windows. Janie opened the door and ushered Sam inside.

Sam sniffed. “Is this… baby powder?”

“Smells like it, doesn’t it?” Janie said with a wink. “Welcome to the Suites!”

Sam’s eyes went wide when she saw the young brunette standing behind the reception desk. She was wearing a pink onesie and sucked on an adult-sized dummy, which she took out when she noticed Janie and Sam approach.

“Hey, Janie!” she said. “What are you doing here on a Saturday? Everything all right?”

“Hey, Lara. I just need to pick up a few papers, and I wanted to show my niece the business. Please meet Sam. Sam, meet Lara.”

Lara walked up from behind the desk. “Hello, Sam,” she said, extending her hand, but all Sam could do was stare at the bulking white diaper under Lara’s onesie.

Gosh! I’m really not in Kansas anymore.

After long awkward seconds, Sam finally shook her hand. “Uh, hello. Sorry.”

Lara giggled. “Your aunt didn’t tell you what we do here, huh?”

“I didn’t want to spoil the surprise,” Janie said, chuckling. “I should have taken a picture. That look on her face was priceless.”

“Well, Sam, at the Suites, you get to release your inner toddler. Spend a few hours in a friendly environment and leave all the stress of the world behind you. Play with crayons, watch cartoons, take a nap – we got you covered.”

“With diapers,” Sam said, still staring at Lara’s unmistakably full diaper.

“Of course. How else could you really and truly relax? We have attendants at hand to change you, and we have special rooms for people who would like to take things even further, for example–”

“Thanks, Lara,” Janie said quickly. “We’re not here for that. Sam was curious, and I thought I’d give her a quick impression.” She grabbed Sam’s hand. “Come on, sweetie!”

Still stunned and wide-eyed, Sam followed Janie to her corner office. There were two desks in the room, and the windows overlooked the park in the east and the shopping mall in the south. A framed and signed movie poster of Waddle and Riot hung on the wall to the left. It showed an extremely busty young blonde in a white canvas straitjacket wearing a bulging diaper.

“This is how it all started,” Janie said, nodding toward the poster. “Quinn was a patient at Hackney Heights when I worked there. They released her eventually, and she took me under her wing. Stella and I owe her a lot.”

Sam walked up to the poster and studied it. “Wow. So you know an actual, real-life porn star?”

“I was a technical consultant for her Waddle and Riot trilogy.” Janie pointed at one of the many names listed on the poster. “I’m credited as Serena Starlight.”

“Really? That is so awesome!”

Janie chuckled. “Well, that’s probably the last thing your mom would say.”

Just a Second…
